Mrs. Lottie Hanson

Lottie Phoebe Rudesill was born to Mr. and Mrs. Hiram J. Rudesill Aug. 20, 1877, at Viking, St. Croix county. She lived at home until her marriage to Ed Hanson, of Gilman township, Pierce county.

Two children were born to them - Harvey, who lives on the old Hanson farm, and Ella (Mrs. Melvin Barsness of Viking.)

Mrs. Hanson has been in poor health since her husband's death in 1936, but didn't give up her work and continued living alone. Sept 1st, 1940, she had a severe heart attack while returning from a visit to her brother's. From that time she has been in bed under constant care. Mrs. Hanson was most happy when helping others.

Friday, Nov. 1st, she was moved to her daughter's home where she lived until her death Nov. 13, 1940. Her mother, Mrs. Ida Zentzsis, preceded her in death one year.

She leaves her children, six grandsons, six sisters and five brothers, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held by E. R. Skari at the Centerville Methodist church Saturday, Nov. 16, Rev. McCann officiating. Pallbearers were six nephews. She was buried beside her husband in the River Falls cemetery.
