GREEN COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1983
Mrs. Alvania Simpson Akin, daughter of the late Richard Simpson & Ella Bishop Simpson, was born August 9, 1901 in Green Co., KY and departed this life April 23, 1983 at the McDowell Wing of the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital. She was 81 years, 8 months and 14 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church at the time of her death. She was united in marriage on November 19, 1921 to Omer Akin, who survives. Surviving are 2 daughters: Audrey Noe, Summersville, KY, and Altie Judd, Greensburg, KY. One sister, Eula Caven, survives along with 7 grandchildren: Larry Noe, Edmonton, KY; Jerry Noe, Summersville, KY; Linda Musekamp, Cincinnati, OH; Dale, David and Tommy Judd, all of Greensburg, KY; and Margaret Cavanaugh, Hopkinsville, KY. A host of other relatives and friends survive. Ten great-grandchildren also survive. The remains were at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 1983 with burial in the Bennett Cemetery. Rev. Darryl Vance and Rev. Joe Eubank officiated. Pallbearers were Jerry Noe, Larry Noe, Tommy Judd, David Judd, Dale Judd and Lewis Dobson. Honorary pallbearers were Houbert Dobson, Colby Cowherd, Bernard Paxton, Arthur Noe, Bill Lobb and A.L. Simpson. - supplied by Francie Ede
