This grave may be a cenotaph as there is a marker for Francis at the Goodwill Cemetery, at Montgomery, New York. In the summer of 1910, an individual from Elizabeth New Jersey proposed to have the remains of Barber removed to and reinterred in that city on October 19, the anniversary of the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown, but the authorities of Goodwill Cemetery, at Montgomery, N. Y., where the body lies, refused to consent to the removal.
