All of the Early County Georges are descended from Levi and Barbry, who moved to Blakely in 1852 from Barnwell Dist., now Aiken, SC. The Holleys were from the same part of SC. His wife Barbry was of Swiss descent.

They are my GGGG Grandparents.

Their children were:

William Riley George
Frances George - Born 1826. Died 19 Feb 1872. Buried in the GEORGE Cemetery. She married Jeremiah Grimsley.
Eliza George
Jesse Preston George
Harriet Rebekah George - She married Charles Brantley Holley, son of Joshua Holley & Maria Glover - He Died in the Civil War and a memorial is in the GEORGE cemetery.
John David Allen George

Levi's brothers that I know of - Jesse Jr, William, David, Daniel, John Carey, Green, Henry and Caleb. William and John Carey, moved to Texas between 1810 and 1820.

Levi is the son of
Jesse (1760-1857) and Margaret Jennings George. He was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Jesse George served briefly in a Revolutionary War militia in 1782 in South Carolina. He died in Gwinette County, Georgia

Jesse is the son of
Henry Jacob George (1730 - aft 1804) and Margaret Glazier George. and brother of John George. Jakob was born in Hesse Cassell Germany. Of his children that I know of, John and Ludwig were also born in Hasse Cassell, Germany. Jesse, William and Dennis were born in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
