John Earnest Couch of Gainesville, died Saturday in Denton. He was born Jan. 12, 1901, to Mr. and Mrs. John Couch, in Ennis.He came to Cooke County with his parents in 1910. He married Callie Zimmerman on Aug. 31, 1929 in Cherokee, Okla. John was a retired welder.

Survivors are his wife, Callie; son Bob Couch; brothers, Joe and Clyde Couch; sisters, Maude Garrison and Ruth Cook; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
