He was employed by Celanese Fiber Corp., Narrows, Va., and was a member of the Woodland Street Baptist Church, Narrows. Ray Dean served in the United States Army. Ray Dean is the son of the late Winnie Henderson Pack and Jamie Lee [Lilly] Pack (d/o Ali Walter Lilly & Tennarie Caroline Mann Lilly.)
