Deceased Name: DUNIGAN, MARIAN J. (MAYME)
83 years of age, born April 6, 1925 to Benjamin and Josephine Dewitt. Survived by her loving husband, Joseph E. Dunigan, who celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 11, 2007. She is also survived by her 12 children, Joe (Candy), Diane (Fred) Smith, David (Sharon), Tim Dunigan, Karen F. Dunigan, MaryJo (John) Schultz, Dan (Karen Kaye), Steve (Kristi), Patty (Leo) Sete, Charlie (Laurie), Jane and Tau Uhila and Patrick (Lucy); 29 grandchildren, Heather Coe, Jennifer Simpson, Jeff Smith, Tracey Jackson, Joey Dunigan, Jason Dunigan, Stephanie Metcalf, Aimee Dunigan, Stacie Dunigan, Amanda Dunigan, Hillary Loring, Andrea Clark, Cortney Schaffer, Matt Schaffer, Megan Dunigan, Daniel Dunigan Jr., Lindsay Dunigan, Max Dunigan, Keely Dunigan, Nina Dunigan, Ryan Sete, Leo Sete, Charlie Dunigan, Dustin Dunigan, Tobin Dunigan, Josephine Uhila, Patrick Dunigan, Drake Dunigan and Lauren Dunigan; and 21 great-grandchildren; and special family friends, Paul Sete and Lea Uhila. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Richard) Fransted. Preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Dewitt; mother, Josephine Verlynde; and stepfather, Fred Verlynde; brother, Russell Dewitt; and sister, Joann Dewitt. Marian was a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, Arbor Hills Country Club, numerous dance clubs, Carioca, Royal Quarters and 100(+) Women Who Care. Marian enjoyed gardening, golfing, playing cards and especially spending time with her family and many friends. Mrs. Dunigan is at the WATSON FUNERAL CHAPEL where Prayers will be held Friday, 12:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at QUEEN OF THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL CHURCH, 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Robert McGraw officiating. Interment St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Jackson Area Catholic Schools, 711 N. Francis St., Jackson, MI 49201, Hospice of Jackson & Oaklawn or the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
