Donald Abbe Donald Wayne Abbe, 71, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011. He was born on January 18, 1940 in Gainesville, TX to William Abbe and Gladys Foster Abbe. He was a retired Master Sergeant and proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He married Renate Luise Thomer in Germany in December of 1959.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. He will lay to rest at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Donald is survived by his wife, Renate Abbe; daughters, Donna Sargeant and husband, William Schaaff, Delilah Bitton and husband, Louis and Donnis Sullivan and husband, Steven; sister, Peggy Byrom and husband, Jim Houlette; brothers, Leon Abbe and wife, Peggy, Gary Abbe and wife, Ranae and Johnny Abbe and wife, Susan; sister-in-law, Margie Abbe; grandchildren, Michael G. Erickson and wife, Denise and Jayson W. Erickson; and great grandchildren, Kadyn and Taylor Erickson. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Abbe; and brothers, Ronnie Abbe and W.L. Abbe.
