Virginia E. Howard, 94, passed away July 19, 2011, in Pueblo, Colo. Survived by children, Carolyn (Bill) Fishback of Edmond, Okla., and Anita (Mike) Morris of Encampment, Wyo.; grandchildren, Carrie (Steve) Rzasa, Tamara (Dana) Swanstrom and Ellora (Joe) Hermerding; and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Maurice L. Howard; and two sisters. Born to Ellora O. (Eads) and Chester A. Groff on July 11, 1917, in Iberia, Mo. Virginia married Maurice on Aug. 4, 1940. She taught school before starting a family and then became a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, music, quilting, family camping in the mountains, baking and caring for her roses. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, in the penthouse of Villa Pueblo Towers, 1111 Bonforte Blvd., with the Rev.
