Orville enlisted in Company D of the Eight Michigan Calvary on March 17, 1865. He joined his regiment at Pulaski, Tennessee on April 28, 1865. Transferred to Company D on July 20, 1865 and mustered out on September 22, 1865 from Nashville, Tennessee.
Orville, Jr. son of Anna and Orville died on September 11, 1872 at the age of 4 months and 3 days of dysentery.
