She was born August 23, 1907, in Solo, Arkansas to Jim and Myrtle Rudder Mathis. She was a member of the Assemblies of God, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. Rich; a son, James Rich; four half sisters; and two half brothers. Survivors include four sons, Donald, Dolan, and John Rich, all of Hector and Doyle Rich of Dover; a half sister, Nora Pack of Russellville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several other grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Solo Cemetery north of Hector with the Rev. Keith Underhill and the Rev. Jeremy Mathis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be James West, Randy Newell, Ricky Newell, Terry McGee, Paul Branch, and Randell Palmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Linda West and Becky Branch.
