PRESTON MIZE OF NOLANVILLE IS BURIED HERE
Dies Wed. After 4 Years Of Ill Health; Burial In McDowell Cemetery

Funeral services were held at the Nolanville Baptist church this afternoon for Preston Mize, 75-year-old Nolanville resident who died in a Temple hospital at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Mize had been in ill health for the past four years, his condition growing worse after he fell and broke his hip November 11.

A resident of Nolanville for the pasr 21 years, he was born in Panola county August 18, 1866, coming to Bell county in 1868. He was married to Ida Kitchens of Charlottsville, N. C. , on July 19, 1892. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist church and was a deacon in his church.

Surviving are his widow and two daughters, Mrs. D. L. Murphy, of San Juan, and Mrs. B. L. Thompson of Killeen; two grandsons, Preston Murphy, San Juan, and Murrel Thompson, Killeen; one brother, Harry Mize, Belton; one sister, Mrs. J. L. Daugherty, Seminole, and several nieces and nephews. One daughter, Mrs. E. W. Guest, preceded him in death 12 years ago.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. O. Hopson of Little River, assisted by Rev. L. B. Parks, of Temple. Burial was in McDowell cemetery. Pallbearers were R. J. urner, Riley Sutton, Earl Guest, Oscar Roberts, Guy Barron, L. G. Peeler, W. F. Cowan and Cecil Elliott.
