She has lived in the Parma area since 1940. She had worked at the Parma High School as a Teachers Aid for several years and was a member of the Parma United Methodist Church.
On January 28, 1938, she was married to Sidney Melton Lindley in Piggott, Arkansas he preceded her in death on March 1, 1990.
Surviving are three sons: Douglas Lindley of Eureka, Missouri, DeWayne Lindley of Bernie, Missouri and Jim Lindley of Portageville, Missouri. One daughter: Barbara Hohl of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Three sisters: Doris Bauer of St. Louis, Missouri, Jerres Meyer and Shirley Davis both of Collierville, Tennessee, Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one brother: Elwood Reed.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 18, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma, Missouri.
Services will be held Monday, July 19, 2010, at 10:00 AM in the Parma United Methodist Church in Parma with the Rev. Roy Sherfield of Dexter, Missouri, Rev. Bill Reid of Lilbourn, Missouri and Rev. Susan Marner-Sides of Bernie officiating.
Interment will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
