Lord Darcy, 2nd Baron of Chich, in the county of Essex. He the only son and heir, aged 26 at his father's death. Knighted at the Coronation of Elizabeth I, 15 Jan 1558/9. He took his seat in the House of Lords 25 Jan (1558/9). He entertained the Queen at St. Osyth's, Jul 1561, and Aug 1579. Admitted Gray's Inn, 4 Feb 1562/3.
