DEATH TAKES MRS. ESTOCK
Widow Of Prominent Streator Merchant Succumbs At Tallahassee, FL.
Mrs. Aimee Estock, 408 South Sterling St., widow of the late A. B. Estock, prominent Streator clothing merchant, died at 3:30am Sunday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. (Mona) Fitchner at Tallahassee, FL.
The body is being brought to the Elias Funeral Home, where services will be at 2pm Thursday. Visitation will be from 4pm Wednesday until the hour of the services. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
Mrs. Estock is survived by the one daughter, Mrs. Fitchner, three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Don Spradling and Mrs. Edward L. Scheibel of Streator, Mrs. Irman Watson, Cincinatti, Ohio, and Fred Bertiaux of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Leon, and one brother, Elmer Bertiaux.
Her marriage with Mr. Estock took place April 2, 1907, in Streator. Until his death Aug. 20, 1953, he operated a clothing store here, and was active in the business and civic affairs of the community.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Bertiaux, who were among the early residents of Streator, she was born and reared here, and spent her entire lifetime in the community. She was a member of the Park Presbyterian church.
