His last name has been spelled both GRIEVER and GREEVER. Kentucky relatives spell it Griever and Virginia folks spell it Greever. Both are correct as spelling didn't become 'official' until the late 1800's.

He was married to Margaret Bosang, and also had a mistress (Mary Catharina Heninger) living upstairs whom he had 6 children with.

I am a descendant of Philip Greever and am sending the information below to perhaps straighten up some tangles in Philip Greever's listed children. I have spent four years researching and submitted multiple documents to Daughters of the American Revolution to hopefully correct these errors. I received notice two days ago stating corrections would be made based upon documents sent to support corrections.

I hope you will consider making these corrections. One in particular was complied and shared by Dr. Philip Greever, author the listed Greever book. Another was the last will and testament made out by Philip Greever, Sr. He is clear in which children are his by his wife and his by way of Mary Henninger/Heninger. Review of submitted documents was also completed by professional genealogists at NSDAR. Thank you for your consideration.
