Composer. He was an Argentinean musical composer. His family's surname was originally Rubinstein but the "N" disappeared over the years, hence he was known as Luis Moses Rubistein. Born the one of ten children, his parents arrived in Buenos Aires in 1909 from the Ukraine. Although his father was a teacher at a Hebrew school, he was expelled from school in the third grade for writing poems in class and never finished grammar school. He was a stutterer. In May of 1935 he founded a school of popular art in his family's home. Dating to 1933, "Cadenas" was the first tango with music and lyrics by him. He wrote the soundtracks for four movies: "If I Were Rich" in 1941, "El astro del tango" and De México llegó el amorin" both in 1940, and "New Port" in 1936.He was a poet and journalist dedicated to the genre of the tango, author of the letters of "Chains," "Revenge," "Noctambulo," "Carnival of my Neighborhood," "Inspiration," and "Of Yesteryear," among others.
