On June 23, 1724, George Hunt of Charles City Co., VA sold 2000 acres on both sides of the Nottoway River. Most of this land is said to have been given to George Hunt by the will of his father, William Hunt, dec'd. and 100 acres was bought by said Hunt to Francis Mabry and his wife the daughtger of Henry Wyche who bought the 100 acres from said William Hunt. William Hunt had a patent dated October 24, 1701 for 4324 acres and one dated December 19, 1711 for 190 acres. On June 23, 1724 to John Allen of Surry Co. 1719, Francis Mabry and wife, Elinor Mabry, of Surry Co., sold 100 acres on north side of the Nottoway River and bounded by said Hunt to George Hunt of Charles City Co. for 32 pounds current money. The land was formally bought by Henry Wyche, dec'd., from Maj. William Hunt and 10 foot square is reserved as the burial place of said Wyche. Wit.: Thomas Eldridge and William (x) Haygood.
