Lillie "Mae" Huitt was the daughter of Ollie Dye and Wesley D. "Mike" Huitt; she had the following brothers and sisters: Maude Jane Huitt White, Jacqueline "Jack" Huitt Stills Cottingham, Thelma "Myrtle" Huitt Bowden, Nancy Huitt Robertson Marks, Beatrice Huitt Hendricks, Henry Wesley Huitt, W. R. "Dick" Huitt, Wallace "Skin" Huitt, and Fred Owen Huitt.

She married Jasper "Bedford" Dawes (buried at Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest); they lived in Tahlequah and Pawhuska, OK, and West Columbia, TX.

They had the following children: Lee "Kenmoth" Dawes and wife Jean of OK City, OK; Sarah Dawes Bowen of Houston, TX; and Velma Rae Hankins (Click on: Velma Mae Hankins) who married the Rev. B. B. Hankins, of West Columbia, TX.

Mae was a lay person in the Holiness Church; she loved the Lord and preached and served Him and taught the love of God to her Descendants to apply in their lives. She was one of the sweetest persons that ever lived.

Grandchildren include: Sarah Jo Griffin of Old Ocean; Bonnie Raye Alexander of Houston, TX; Michael Lee Hankins of Rockwall; William Mark Hankins of Alexandria, LA; Faith Marie Wood of West Columbia, TX; Robert Hankins of Beeville, Mike Dawes of OK City, OK; Pat Dawes of OK City, OK, Pam Dillinger of OK, and Greg Dawes of Florida.
