Sybil Kent, dau of Rev Elisha Kent and Abigail Moss Kent, was born 19 July 1739 in Newton CT. She married John Kane about 1756 and died 18 July 1806 Red Hook, NY. Initially buried in First Presby Church yard her body, along with her husband's body and the Marble Oblesiks were moved in 1867 to Albany Rural Cemetery. James Kent, a son, is also buried in this plot. Plot purchased by Mrs. John P. Witherill for $20 in 1867.
Her husband, a Tory, during the Rev War and she and her children fled to Nova Scotia returning later.
