Farr, 35, of the Athens Fire Department, was killed instantly Monday Afternoon when the 1915 model pumper truck got out of control going down a steep hill on Lumpkin and plunged into a 10 foot gulley. The terrific impact of the crash hurled the crankshaft of the runaway machine 100 yards away from the scene of the wreck.
