Mrs. Karl Nikish, 70, of 508 Center avenue, died early today at St. Nicholas hospital after a lingering illness.
Nee Anna Zutz, she was born Feb. 18, 1881, in Pommern, Germany, and came to Sheboygan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Zutz, as a child. She attended parochial schools here.
On June 3, 1899, she was married to Karl Nikish by the late Rev. Mr. Berger of Immanuel church. The couple made their home in Sheboygan since that time.
Survivors are her husband; one son, Arthur, and two daughters, Mrs. Alex (Lydia) and Mrs. Edna Bayens, Sheboygan; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Emil Zutz, Sheboygan, and Otto Zutz, Milwaukee. One sister and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Friday at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels with the Rev. Carl W. Ladewig, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Lutheran cemetery.
