DEATH TAKES TJEERD FABER

After a short illness, Tjeerd Faber, 83, died at the Sioux Center Community hospital Thursday, Sept. 6.

He is survived by four children, Rena, Mrs. Martha Wierda, Fanny, Mrs. Dick W. A. Doornink of Sioux Center, Nellie, Mrs. John Nyhoff of Orange City and Hans Faber of Sioux Center. There are also 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one brother, Rein Faber of Orange City.

Mrs. Faber died in 1927 and the oldest daughter passed away at the age of 8 years.

Born at Bolsword, Friesland, the Netherlands on October 25, 1867, he came to this country at the age of 21.

He was united in marriage to Jantje Krikke in 1890. He spent most of his life in Sioux County. The past years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Doornink and with Mrs. Nyhoff where he had been living recently.

Funeral services were held Monday at the John Nyhoff home and in the Christian Reformed church at Sioux Center with Rev. Haan officiating. Burial was in the Sioux Center cemetery.
