Mrs. Douwe Dykstra, nee Alice Van Putten, died Saturday at the Sheldon Holland Home at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Sheldon Home at 1 p. m. and from the First Reformed church of Sheldon at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jean A. Vis and Rev. R. Meengs officiating. Interment was made in the Sioux Center cemetery.
Mrs. Dykstra was born April 7, 1857 in the Netherlands and came to America about 60 years ago.
She was married to Douwe Dykstra 57 years ago on Dec. 9.
Surviving are her husband and the following children, Albert Dykstra of Sheldon, Mrs. Gerrit Wandscheer of Sioux Center, Mrs. William Doornink and Harry Dykstra of Orange City.
