Miss Sarah E. Stowell
Miss Sarah E. Stowell, 79, a retired staff worker at Withers Library, died at 7:30 a. m. Sunday at a Peoria hospital. She formerly lived at 607 S. Clinton St.
A private funeral will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the Beck Memorial Home. The Rev. Mathilda McNemar of the Peoria Unity Church will officiate, and burial will be in Bloomington Cemetery.
Miss Stowell was born in Chicago June 7, 1876, a daughter of George E. and Catherine Clingman Stowell.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Arthur G. Hall, Peoria; a brother, Dr. Charles J. Stowell, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. A brother preceded her in death.
