Mrs. Gertrude Hall
Mrs. Gertrude Hall, 89, of Peoria Heights and formerly of Bloomington, died at 7:40 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. The retired teacher left Bloomington about 20 years ago.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Burial will be in Bloomington's Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 12, 1879, in Chicago, a daughter of George and Katherine Clingman Stowell. She was married to Arthur G. Hall Sept. 28, 1904, in Springfield. He died Aug. 9, 1949, in Bloomington.
Surviving are two sons, Herbert W., Peoria Heights, James E., Encinitas, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. John Hess, Peoria; Mrs. George Harris, Kewanee; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter two brothers and a sister also preceded her in death.
