LOWELL -- Alfreda (Parevoliotes) Ames, 82, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died Monday, Feb. 4, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell following a short illness. She was the wife of the late Earl L. Ames.
She was born in Haverhill, on Jan. 1, 1920, a daughter of the late Sotiros and Stamata (Fotakos) Parevoliotes, and attended school in Haverhill and Lowell.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Ames worked as a stitcher in various Lowell mills.
She was a member of St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include a son, Sandy E. Ames of Lowell; a daughter, Priscilla Ames Saboe of Manassas, Va.; a brother, Peter Parevoliotes, residing in California; a grandson, Brian Saboe of Manassas, Va.; as well as nieces and nephews.
