Charlotte "Lottie" Brown was the daughter of William Brown and Irene Taylor. She married Elijah "Lige" Bailey, son of Harrison & Sarah Sally Nantz Bailey, on July 17, 1896 in Clay County, Kentucky. Lige and Lottie moved to Berryville, Carroll County, Arkansas circa 1930 and lived on land owned by Lottie's brother Dr. James B. "Doc" Brown, a prominent dentist and landowner in Berryville. Lottie's sons Shomer and Elmer married girls from Berryville. Elmer and his wife remained in Berryville, but Lige, Lottie and the rest of the family returned to Kentucky by the close of WWII. Lige and Lottie Brown Bailey settled in London, Kentucky, where they lived the rest of their lives.
