Donald Valleskey Falls In Shallow Water On Collins Farm
Playing about with brushes in the water of a concrete tank in the barn yard Monday at 6 p.m., Donald, 18-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust W. Valleskey, Collins, toppled over into the tank and was drowned. The child was the youngest of a family of six children. Although there was less than 10 inches of water in the tank, no one was near when the youngster fell into the tank and he was dead when he was found by his older brother Robert who, missing his brother, went in search of him. No inquest was called.
Besides the parents, four brothers and two sisters survive. Burial will take place Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from the Valleskey home, which is located at the south outskirts of the village of Collins.
