Wife of Samuel.

There is no marker, but she is recorded in a partial listing of graves at Friends Cemetery, Tuckerton, in Leah Blackman's 'History of Little Egg Harbor,' from 1880, pages 206-208.

-------------------------------
(Spellings of surnames vary in records)

Elizabeth was apparently the daughter of Richard and Mary (Willitts) Ridgway:

"Thomas Cramer of Barnegat, Monmouth Co., and MARY his wife [with] Samuel Andrews of Little Egg Harbour, Bur. Co., and Elizabeth his wife Release and Quit-claim to Joseph Willits of Bethlehem Township, Hunterdon Co., Executor of the last will and testament of Richard Ridgway, Jr., deceased, all legacies, gifts, bequests [etc., etc.] given to the aforesaid Mary Cramer and ELIZABETH Andrews by the names of Mary Ridgway and Elizabeth Ridgway in and by the last will and testament of their father the said Richard Ridgway, deceased."

Will of Richard Ridgway, Jr. of Springfield, Burlington Co. daed Feb. 12, 1718-9. Wife Mary. Children--William, Timothy, ELIZABETH, Richard, MARY, James, all under age. Real and Personal Est. Executors--father Richard Ridgway and brothers Thomas Ridgway and Joseph Willis (Willits). Wits--John Sumers, Elechsandr Page, Job Ridgway, John Wright. Proved April 4, 1719. Lib. 2, p. 119April 24, 1719--Inventor of the personal estate, 274.4 lbs. incl. a negro girl 40 lbs.; made by Michael Newbold and John Sykes.

This deed of release settles for all time the erroneous and constantly repeated statement, which appeared first in The Proceedings . . . o f the Surveyors' Association of West New Jersey, that, Elizabeth, the wife of Samuel Andrews, was a daughter of Thomas Ridgway, Sr., by his wife Elizabeth Andrews, daughter of Edward and Sarah (Ong) Andrews. The will of Elizabeth (Andrews), widow of Thomas Ridgway, Sr., dated 1 Mch. 1725, mentioned her own brother Samuel Andrews and their mother Sarah (Ong) Andrews (NJW 2:294; NJA 23:383).

Note:
Date of death was previously listed as 1759, however someone sent a message stating differently and I can find no evidence except family trees, so if anyone can document the date, please use Edit/Suggest a Correction and send the proof.
