Louvena Bickford age 84, of Camp Verde, passed away on Aug. 13, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Louvena was born on Jan. 10, 1927, in Lakin, Kan., to William and Elizabeth McVey. She married Arthur Herman Bickford on Sept. 8, 1946, in Deerfield Kan.
Louvena and Arthur were blessed with only one son, Stephen Bickford, whom they cherished very much. Louvena enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, spending time with family, traveling and taking care of her flowers.
Louvena is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Arthur; her parents, her brothers and their wives: Bill and Donna Mcvey, Donald and Marie McVey, Elmer and Buela Mcvey, Russell and Lottie McVey, Jack Mcvey, sisters and husbands: Pearl and Charlie Hill, Dorothy and Earl Herron, Ruth and Loyd Newport, Ester and Ralph Elliott and Brother in law Lester Worley.
She is survived by her sister, Lucille Worley; sister-in-law Freda Mcvey; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Jacqueline Bickford, grandchildren and spouses, Dawn and Nick Cecil, Wade and Carrie Bickford, and Cody and Jeff Bowers, and great grandchildren; Rachel, Sara, Brittany, Paige, Jacqueline, Kaitlyn and Bristol.
The family would like to thank the Gingerich home and care givers for the wonderful care that Louvena received.

Services will be held on Monday Aug. 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Clear Creek Cemetery Camp Verde Arizona.
