August E. Lake, 58, city and county employee and resident of Coltman, died September 28, 1987, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, following a short illness.
He was born August 6, 1929 at Idaho Falls to Ernest and Violet Matilda Petersen Lake. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, He married Enid Bee, July 1, 1959 at Idaho Falls.
He worked for Idaho Potato Growers for 26 years. He then worked for the city of Idaho Falls and Bonneville County for eight years.
Survivors include his wife of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Felipe (Helena) Martinez of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Arline M. Dunlap and Anna Maria French, both of Idaho Falls; a brother, Ernest Lake of Idaho Falls; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Coltman LDS Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Conley Stucki officiating. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under direction of Flamm Funeral Home of Rexburg.
