Sarah Tennessee “Tennie” Skinner Anderson, age 68, of Williamson County, passed on June 19, 1924 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.H. Warren at 1000 Wilson Avenue Nashville. Services were held at the residence Saturday, June 21 at 10 A.M. with T.A. Kerley officiating. Tennie was born on March 25, 1856 in Williamson County to John Marshall and Drucilla R. Hargrove Skinner.

In addition to her parents, Tennie is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Washington Anderson; daughters, Calie Donie Anderson Bizzell and Mary Bessie Anderson; infant son, Essie Claude Anderson and brothers, William Skinner and Andrew Jackson Skinner.

Tennie is survived by the following children: four daughters, Mrs. F.H. (Effie) Warren and Mrs. G.F. (Ella) Foster of Nashville, Mrs. A.R. (Gert) Castleman of Jackson, TN and Mrs. L.G. (Ollie) Hartley of Garrison Community, TN; sons, Alexander, Timothy, and Willie Anderson of Nashville; Bob Lee, John and Steve Anderson of Garrison Community, TN; one sister, Mrs. H.B. (Elizabeth Jane) Biggers and two brothers, T.S. Skinner and John Marshall Skinner, Jr.

The following served as pallbearers: John Elder, Sam Alcock, Joe Meeks, W.J. Brown, Sam Simpkins and Leroy Chandler.
The burial was at Garrison Cemetery, near Hillsboro, TN.
