He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrie Helen Chaney, and one daughter, Lola Faye Boldin.
Funeral services were held at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood.
He is survived by three sons, Edward Chaney Jr. of Van Buren, Lee Chaney of Spiro, Okla., and Lonnie Chaney of Short, Okla.; six daughters, Diane Newman of Wichita, Kan., Telitha Irby of Alma, Sadie Goodner of Dadeville, Ala., Johnnie Cadle of Albany, La., Darlene Neumeier of Greenwood and Donna Skinner of Huntington; two brothers, John Chaney of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and William Bud Chaney of Huntington; five sisters, Jean Dickerson of Ocala, Fla., Ann Deeds, Joyce Chaney and Susie Argo, all of Lepanto, and Elizabeth Berry of Sulphur, La.; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
