MARY C. SOLLENBERGER
Formerly of Curryville, recently of Morrison Cove Home, died at 6:15 a.m., Sunday, June 24, 1973, at the Altoona Hospital following an extended illness. She was born in Freedom Twp. on Oct. 18, 1897, daughter of Samuel and Barbara (Feathers) Helsel. She was twice married, first to David Miller, who died in 1951, and to L.K. Sollenberger in 1957. Surviving are her husband of Martinsburg, nine stepchildren, George H. Miller of Alum Bank, Mrs. Ruth Neterer of Duncansville, Kenneth H. and Byron E. Sollenberger of Curryville, Galen H. Sollenberger of Martinsburg, the Rev. Donald D. Sollenberger of Smithville, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Miles of Hershey, Mrs. Dorothy L. Beach of Roaring Spring RD, the Rev. Carmon E. Sollenberger of Buena Vista, Va.; 28 step-grandchildren, 19 step-great-grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Miss Lydia Helsel of Martinsburg, Mrs. Anna Walters and Mrs. Gertrude Detterline of East Freedom, Adam Helsel of Juniata and Ira Helsel of Roaring Spring. She was a member of the Curryville Church of the Brethren. She was formerly employed by the Morrison Cove Home. Friends will be received in the J.C. Bolger Funeral Home, Martinsburg, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Family prefers memorials for Curryville Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received in the J.C. Bolger Funeral Home, Martinsburg, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
