Mrs. Miriam Fowler Copeland, 88, of South McDuffie Street, died Saturday evening at Latham Nursing Home after several months of declining health. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Straton and Lula Cartee Fowler. She was a Baptists and a retired seamstress with Fleishman's. She was the wife of the late Arthur Fred Copeland Sr. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Mildred C. Reid and Mrs. William (Nettie) Breazeale of Anderson; sons, A. Fred Jr., Billy and Richard Copeland of Anderson; sister, Mrs. Anna Traynum of Anderson, brothers, F. L. Fowler of Charlotte, N.C., Floyd N. Fowler of Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Services at 3 p.m. Monday at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel by the Revs. Jimmie Gaines and Carrol Harris. Burial in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The body is at the mortuary.
