Born in Biltmore, N.C., she was a daughter of Mrs. Marie Hilgeman of Columbia and the late Glenn Booth.
She was the first woman to become a supervisor of Harbison Correctional Institution for Women.
Surviving are her husband; her mother; two daughters, Mrs. Glenda Hutto and Mr. Curtis (Susanne) Turner of Gaston and four -grandchildren.
Services will be 4 p.m. today in St. David's Lutheran Church cemetery.
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home is in charge.
