Anna M. Rockhold, 80, formerly of 836 Ella St., Galesburg, died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday (April 17, 2002) in the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville. She was born Dec. 2, 1921, in Gregory Landing, Mo., the daughter of Wesley and Carrie Baker Breeden. She married Jack Higgins in Burlington, Iowa in 1940. She then married Clarence Rockhold in Chicago in 1961. Both husbands preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Janet Albert, Galesburg; a stepson, Edwin Rockhold, Galesburg; a stepdaughter, Kay Ojeda, Galesburg; three brothers, James Breeden, East Galesburg, Robert Breeden, Edgewater, Fla., and Donald Breeden, Knoxville, a sister, Laveta Breeden, Keokuk, Iowa; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildre; six step-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Coe, a grandson, and a brother. She graduated from Good Hope High School. She was the owner of Ann's Coffee Shop on Main Street in Galesburg for 10 years. She then owned the East End Tavern and the Delmar Motel, both in Knoxville. She retired in 1967. Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Heather officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Knox County Nursing home or to a charity of the donor's choice.
