"Suggested edit: In the 1900 census for Pitt he gives his date of birth as June 1856 in Ohio. He and Hattie are also found in the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census as living in the same place, Perry, Lake Co., Ohio. In the 1940 census Pitt is still living and is listed as a widower. By this I am guessing Hattie did indeed pass away in 1930. Pitt however is listed in the Ohio deaths as having passed on Jan 24 1943, again in Perry, Lake Co., Ohio at the age of 86 which would match having been born in June 1856.
By the way Hattie is actually Harriet, nicknamed Hattie. Thanks for your help."
