"Sherman Hawkins had married the sister of his brother's wife Hattie. From various records her name was either Rettu or Retta, I believe it was probably the latter, Retta. According to Lake County records, they were married on July 18, 1893 in Perry, Ohio. There is no entry in the Perry cemetery records that survive of anyone with a similar name being buried there, nor are there any 'Hawkins' buried that are not accounted for otherwise. She is also not buried near her parents and siblings. She just seems to have vanished without leaving any trace. Well, I thought you might want to at least include the fact that Sherman had gotten married."
