SIOUX CITY -- Annabelle M. Johnson, 85, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at her residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Sylvia Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Annabelle was born April 7, 1926, in Hinton, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Lottie (Asplund) Anderson. She attended country school in Hinton, junior high school at North Junior and graduated from Leeds High School in Sioux City.

Annabelle married Kenneth Johnson on Aug. 5, 1944, in Dakota City. She worked at Swifts Produce for 12 years before the couple moved to a farm near Carroll, Neb., in 1973.

She was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Vicki and her husband, John Collins of Sioux City, Linda and her husband, Mike Cadwell of Sioux City, Carol and her husband, Richard Burbank of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Kevin and his wife, Laurie of Norfolk, Neb.; 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth, on July 11, 1995; an infant daughter, Marjorie; two brothers, Raymond Anderson and Edmund Anderson; and three sisters, Ethelyn Cain, Cecelia Hoffman and Helen Hilton.
