ADA BEHELER SEARLS, of Hamlin, W.Va., born January 13, 1913, passed away August 30, 2011, at Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hamlin, at the age of 98-years, 7-months and 17-days-old. She was the daughter of the late George and Virgie Dunlap Beheler and was the owner of Searls Tourist Hotel and Searls Personal Care Home, which both were the last in the town of Hamlin. She was a member of Carrol Memorial Community Church and was a homemaker. She was also proceeded in death by her husband Kermit Searls and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son Donald (Jeannette) Searls; one daughter Charolette "Peggy" Bays; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 10 great- great-grandchildren; and special friend Ronnie Ellis, for whom she cared for more than 39 years. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, with Rev. Russell "Buck" Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memory Gardens, Hamlin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011, at Koontz Funeral Home.
