"Roy C. Hake, 85, of East Berlin, formerly of York RD 5, died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Manor. He was the husband of the late Reba (Bell) Hake.

Mr. Hake was born Dec. 7, 1910, in York County. He was the son of the late Curvin E. and Minnie A. (Gable) Hake.

He retired from Sylvania in 1975, after seven years of service. Prior to that, he worked for Mount Wolf Wire Cloth and Heilig Wire Company. He was a member of Hawks Gunning Club and Wago Club.

Mr. Hake is survived by five sons, Roy Larry Hake of Mount Wolf, Fred Hake of Gaines, Tioga County, and Harold Hake, Randall Hake and Michael Hake, all of Manchester; five daughters, Yvonne Rexroth of Windsor, Jessie Landis of York, Diane Berkheimer of Pennsylvania, and Phyllis Toomey and Linda Bastress, both of York Haven; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Arthur Hake of Manchester."
