Thomas was buried in the "Ye Old Point Burying Ground," known today as the Charter Street Cemetery. His grave is NOT in Southhold, New York. This fact had been established for more than 100 years. His wife Elizabeth was also buried there in 1666. The only Thomas Scudder to ever be in Southhold was Thomas Junior. Thomas Scudder-birth abt 1586, probably at Horton Kirby, Kent England

Elizabeth, wife of Thomas Scudder- Elizabeth's surname is unknown. "Speculation that Elizabeth was the 'sister Scutter' named in the will of John Lowers of Darenth, Kent, husbandman, dated 8 Jun 1645 and proved 5 Feb 1650, is incorrect. 'Sister Scutter' named in the Lowers will match wife and children named in the will of Henry Scutter of North Cray, Kent, which also names brother James Lowers."
