FRED REACH DIES FOLLOWING ILLNESS
Fred Reach, 49, died at his home in Big Stone Gap, Monday, November 30, after a two months illness.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Asa Lee [sic] Cole Reach; one daughter, Mrs. Peggy Castle, Bristol, Tennessee; two sons, Herbert Reach, Bristol and William P. Reach, Big Stone Gap; three brothers, Homer Reach, Big Stone Gap, Robert Reach, Mobile, Ala., and John Reach, Detroit, Mich.; five sisters, Mrs. Alma Bozzell, Mrs. Frances Matthews and Mrs. Ollie McClure, all of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Elsie Perdue, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Nell Gieb [sic], Columbia, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Lawrence Thompson officiated. Burial was in the American Legion Cemetery near Big Stone Gap.
