Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Kotecki, 94, of 626 West St., Peru, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Landgraf of Peru, with whom she had resided the past 3 1/2 years during her illness.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, and at 10 a.m. in St. Valentine's Church, Peru. The Rev. Chester Jagodzinski will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. The Catholic Daughters of America will have services at 6 p.m.
Mrs. Kotecki was born Jan. 15, 1981 (1891), in Peru. She married Joseph Kotecki Feb. 6, 1906, in St. Valentine's Church, Peru. She was a member of St. Valentine's Church, the Holy Name Society and the Rosary Society of St. Valentine's Church and Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Hattie) Landgraf and Jean Kotecki, both of Peru; a son, Edward Kotecki of Peru; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vincent Stachowiak of Menomee Falls, Wis.; and two sisters, Sister M. Kinga of the Felicin Sisters of Oak Lawn and Mrs. Jennie Dugosh of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 2, 1958; a son, Vincent, and a grandson.
