Carrie was born in Felicity Clermont County Ohio. To Rueben D Powell and Clarissa "Clara" Baker. She Married Feb 9 1882 Alvin Cecil DeLano and they had 8 children. In 1888 the family was living with or near her in laws Nathan and Caroline DeLano. Nathan and Caroline owned a farm and grew tobacco and other crops. In 1889 Alvin Cecil and his brother Gilkey were building a house there on the farm for the couple. Carrie was shown in census as living with her daughter in law in Florence AL when she died.
