Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating.
Interment of the cremains is planned at a later date.
Mrs. Alexander was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of Max William Klaerner and Olivia Emma Klein Klaerner.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa M. Sorrels of Carroltton; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Leisha Alexander of Fredericksburg, and four grandchildren.
Also surviving are one sister, three brothers and their spouses, including Calvin Klaerner, San Antonio; Clinton and Agnes Klaerner, Fredericksburg; Donald D. and Ruby Klaerner, Austin, and Rosalie Ann and Billy Koerner Sr., Ranger.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by two brothers: Franklin Klaerner who died at the age of five years, and one who was stillborn.
Memorials may be made to the Coach Wicker Battlin'' Billie Scholarship Fund, the Golden Hub Senior Center or to the charity of choice.
