ASMUS PRUSMAN SERVICE FRIDAY

Last rites for Asmus Prusman, 91, who had lived in Phillips County since 1918, were conducted Friday afternoon at the Lewis Funeral Home here. Rev. Alvah C. Lynch, pastor of the local Baptist church, was in charge. Burial was in Holyoke Memorial Park.

Mr. Prusman passed away on Wednesday morning, April 6, at the Phillips County Hospital where he had been a patient about four days. He was preceded in death by a son and daughter, his wife, five brothers and two sisters.

Asmus Prusman, familiarly known as "Mike" among his friends, was a son of Catherine and Henry Prusman. He was born September 24, 1863, in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 5 years he moved with his parents to Forbes, Missouri where he grew to manhood.

On December 26, 1889 he was united in marriage with Clara Ellen Sipes. To this union four children were born two of whom survive.

On March 1, 1918 Mr. Prusman with his family moved to a farm northeast of Holyoke where they resided for a number of years. Since his wife's death Mr. Prusman had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Coler. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include a son, William B. Prusman, Amherst; one daughter, Mrs. Reed Bailey, Oregon, Missouri; and adopted daughter, Mrs. Ernest Coler, Holyoke 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Relatives from a distance who were here for the funeral were: Mrs. Charles Schaeffer, Mrs. Jane Prussman and Max Prussman, all of Forest City, Missouri, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McGivney, Denver, Mr. and Mrs. George Coler, Westminster, Colorado and Mrs. Reed Bailey, Kermit Bailey and Robert Bailey, Oregon, Missouri.
