Floyd J. Beckett, 86, of Kittanning, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Boggville, South Buffalo Township, to the late Clarence Beckett and Estella (Steele) Beckett.

He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church. Floyd enjoyed gardening and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Helen (Slagle) Beckett; daughter, Shirley Craig and her husband, Bernard, of Kittanning; three grandchildren, Shelley Sacik, of McVille, Scott Sacik, of Monongahela, and Jeffrey Sacik, of Johnstown; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Mildred Grafton, of Kittanning, Sara Grafton, of Kittanning, and Dorothy Grafton, of Worthington; brother, Jay Beckett, of Applewald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Beckett.

Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, Worthington. Additional viewing one hour prior to the service, which will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Slate Lick United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mark Davis, church pastor.

Burial will be in Slate Lick Cemetery.
